The Georgian style town house is home to a number of businesses in Poulton-Le-Fylde. The building had previously been extended a number of times. Apart from the original staircase, front elevation and some small locations of timber work internally, the remaining building assets had all historically been removed.
Our priority was to maintain what was left of the buildings historic elements, and using information received from Poulton-Le-Fylde Historical & Civic Society, we managed to tastefully incorporate some pre-existing features.
The front of the property featured a high degree of glass with elegantly designed contemporary signage above, to enhance the buildings retained frontage
A two-story extension was added to the rear of the property creating more floor space for the existing tenants. The extension used bolder materials such as Red Cedar, and rough course white painted render to achieve a modern appearance within the traditional built form.
